Floating Bridge action

Hi

Can anyone tell me how to raise the action on my ibanez guitar please ? My top string is not ringing out properly. Its setup to D standard with the top string dropped down to C. It was set up for this configuration. Oh and i decided to sticker it ?

you will see there are 2 slots on either side of ure bridge at the edges...
you simply take an Alan Key that fits tightly and turn it accordingly (clockwise makes it higher i think?)

try get the best balance
(your aim is to get the strings as close to the fretboard and pickups but at the same time all the strings should ring thoroughly even if you whack it hard)

Thanks guys, much better now. Not perfect yet, but ill do a full setup in the week. Use that setup book i bough for a change hehe

Also if a string is not sounding correctly when played open it could be that the nut needs to be shunted up, Ibanez make small brass plates that you can install under the nut to raise the height slightly ?

Also check the relief on your neck isn't "over-straightened" (truss rod too tight)
