Manfred-Klose yes you will have to go the online route. .........or you can find guys that makes custom knifes locally and buy some from them, they use it to decorate the knife.............
shaundtsl I used waterslide decal paper. Got it from http://www.jgelectronics.co.za/ in randburg. Print you logo on a laser printer and stick it on. Then a couple of clear coats and it good to go. Not sure if it's what you are looking for?
Clint-Green No-go on StewMac; they cannot ship abalone or mother-of-pearl outside of the US due to restrictions... ☹
Ray well, I havent checked that LMI ships it abroad but a couple months back they were in a bit of a spot with the fish and wildlife crew (or whatever they're called - I cant remember) all over them for wood. So I dont know that they gonna be shipping something that could bring any focus there way.
slyd Hey guido . . . . ? Most US distributors won't export or fly MOP, Abalone etc. (especially stewmac) There are a no. of Australian and NZ distributors that can! Google and u'll find them! (plenty) or . . . Jump on the back of a Knife-makers order if you can!
Manfred-Klose i ordered abalone inlay dots from stewmac before, and they sent it with no hassle. maby they treat it differently when its a bigger piece
