Hi, I have a Cort Acoustic with the fishman pickup in the side of the guitar and was wondering if I can replace the batteries myself? do I just undo the screws I can see and replace or do I need to take it to a tech?
sorry for the noob question, just never thought about replacing the batteries before

You can replace the batteries from outside. There are a few different systems - some have a battery compartment with cover, but there's one where the preamp rotates end to end and the battery is on the underside.

Mine have a clip on either end that you press in and the entire unit slides out and you can then easliy replace the battery. Just check the polarity the old one come out as mine does not have any indication of which way the battery must be inserted. I just press the tune button while the unit is still out to see if the lights flash while holding the battery in. If so all is well and I can close it. If I have inserted the bettery the wrong way then the lights do not flash and I have to turn the batter round first.
I use a re-chargeable battery as they need replaceing quite often. Also, remember to unplug the cable from the guitar as this switched the pre-amp on and will drain the bettery very quickly if left on.
