not just steve.......who is my no1 acoustic guitarist on my .."like list' but don't forget or underrate the talents of greg (guitarist) and ashish (percussionist.and exceptional tabla player) ...they are the most amazing pair of acoustic musicians in this country at moment .........who work together as a duo most of the time .......... and adding steve into the mix ..which they have been doing regularly for a few years now....... is like adding the icing on top of an already world standard acoustic duo ........

i seen then together as the trio and it's well worth the trip to hartebeestport dam ........ truly expect a world class performance the likes you would see at any major acoustic venue worldwide ......

Coincidentally, my wife had a meeting in Cape Town yesterday and on her way back home she found Steve hitch-hiking home on the N2 (with three guitars an amp and an overnight bag). This isn't unusual for Steve - he loves meeting people on the road and believes "the universe will provide" to get him to his gigs on time and safely (and somehow, it always does ?). The original travelling minstrel that guy.

So if you ever see an older guitarist hitch-hiking, take a chance and pick him up and you just might get to meet one of SA's greatest players on his way to (or from) a gig.
