TJ's Acoustic Music Club - Open mic night - Feb 23rd

Your chance to attend the school from which Squonk and Deefstes have graduated ?

The idea is that you pitch up, put your name down on the board, and when your slot comes up you get 15 minutes or 3 songs (and whichever of those finishes first). You bring your acoustic instrument (preferably with a pickup, but they can mic up if necessary). TJ's provide the PA and the mics.

Venue: The Press Bar, Marks Park sports club, Judith Road, Emmarentia, Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa, Earth, Nr Moon, Space, Nr More Space (this is not the same room used for the "proper" shows at TJ's)
Time: First performer goes on at 20:00
Admission: R25

Drinks and light meals can be ordered from the Marks Park staff.

Performance slots are allocated on a first come, first served basis, so get there early.

it's quite well supported. There's a regular crowd, and they're friendly and supportive. It can get busy for players, so best to get there early and get your name down.
