Vintage keyboard repairs in Durban?

Hi everyone.

I've got a Korg Delta, vintage analogue synth that I need serviced/repaired.

I cannot find ANYONE in Durban who's willing or able to do the work.

Problem is, I don't want to take it to just anyone, this is a vintage synthesizer from 1978-82 or so, while not legendary it's still a classic in it's own right and quite dear to me. The schematics & parts list are easily available, so if anyone can point me in the right direction, I have/can get a lot of information to assist a technician.

I know of folk in JHB that can do the work, the trouble is getting it there, safely and back, which will just add to the cost.

Any ideas?

I would've thought that would be perfect for Dennis Joynt to look at. He's on the Bluff.

Yeah, I chatted to him about it quite a while ago and he's not willing. He doesn't know this keyboard and doesnt' seem to be interested in working on it. I actually one from him for spares lol, so now I have two. The second one is in very bad cosmetic shape, but at least I have spares. ?

I've also spoken to the dude at Clavitech, Ian I think his name is, also not interested.

I've made another contact in JHB who will work on it, seems like it's the only option for me. ☹

Maybe give Glen Turrel a call, he works on all sorts of electronic goods though hes a wizz with tube amps. I'll pm you his number
