And he's making that 5W Little Dragon Roar!!!!!!!!!!!!! ?
Wizard
I have to agree ... that Manny playing that Sanox into Nick's Red Dragon was a very sweet thing to listen to.
I like that guitar and that amp very much ?
Manfred-Klose
just a breakdown for the cape town guys that didn't show up of what happened
got there early, luke had the braai and beer going
Tested the two rock amps and the swart, from what my ear could gather
Two rock,no specific model, very clean amp with som grit if you want it, its seems like a real work horse that wont die, will make a nice combination with a strat, and would be a good option as a gigging amp.
Swart amps, they look freakin awesome, a more vintage a loose tone, would make a good studio amp to get unique tones with.
thanks to marco and john for taking the time to come and do this.
Arjun played some of his techinal stuff, nicolas brought his homemade 5 watt along, which sounds very impressive by the way, wizard took in alot of information and i convinced him to build a hollowbody tele, jeremy showed of his rad marketing skills by bringing some of his future pedal builds along, luke was all over the place like a kid in a candy store, rikus also showed up(sorry didn't have the time to chat to you, had to leave urgently), as i walked out EZ rocked up with his 18watt.......
there was a marshall JVM setup in the other room into 2 4x12cabs, did you blast that amp ?
where was all the regulars that always come to the events, missed you guys.

I stopped in quickly at around 3pm I think it was. Good to see some old faces and meet some new ones! ?
Manny you left too early ?
The Guitartone "wagon" was very tempting to hijack as it left... Crammed full of tasty gear?
rikus
Was a very cool day. Always great to meet some more like minded fellows...
Those Swarts are beautiful in every single way and those Two-Rocks still leave me weak in the knees (Marco channeling some Jimi with my strat straight into the Gainmaster was epic)... Also thanks to Arjun for showing me exactly what my strat is capable of and reminding how far I still away from that! ?
Thanks for to all who helped pull it together!
nick
I decided to rather have a huge arguement with the SO, and you can imagine how that turned out so I couldn't make it ☹
Nicholas-L
It twas awesome. ? We shall do this again.
deebee
a great get together - John and Marko, seriously great gear, oh to have a loaded credit card, you wouldn't have had too much gear to take back with ? ? 8) 8) 8) 8)

Thanks to all the guys...specifically Manny & Luke for organizing the bash. Gian & Marco for bringing some awesome gear.
KayDub & Jeremy for their mouth-watering pedalboards. And the rest of the bunch for the company & skillz ?
Some things that really were eye-openers for me:
1. The Two Rock Studio Pro 35 blew me away with its clean sound. Loads of headroom, some nifty features (pull boost switches) and an incredible reverb (with independent send & return rotary controls). In operation it was very touch sensitive and stayed quiet when i wasn't playing.
2. The Two Rock Gainmaster 35 had loads of gain on offer and was articulate enough for quick single note flurries and yet presented a nice rich/fuller sound for channeling some Jimi (Thanks Marco! ? )
3. The Swarts are all beautiful looking amps and they put out some great tones. I really enjoyed the Atomic MkII & the little (but loud) 5 watter.
4. Reverend guitars are great guitars and they present a wide spectrum of options for the gigging & recording musician.
5. Rikus' combination of his Sienna burst American Std & the Egnater Tweaker 112 was the dark horse. Great rig there!
6. Nic's 5w Little Dargon with NOS Mullard 12AX7 (Thanks Gian!) sounded beautiful..especially with Manfred's Sanox plugged into it.
7. Last but not the least, EZ's Tokai with the Bareknuckle pickups into his 18w sounded out-of-this-world. It had loads on gain to offer whilst maintaing great definition in the bass and cleaned up beautifully.
What a great way to spend the weekend! If i were to pick one guitar & one amp that stood out for me, i'd pick Rikus' Strat & the Two Rock Studio Pro
