Are here: http://www.grammy.com/nominees

Foos walked off with a bunch of stuff.. which gives you an idea of how bland those categories were.

Silly Jack Flash. Foo Fighters are fantastic! Really glad for them.

?

Nothing really interesting to me I suppose... I mean, I love the Chilis for example but the new album is just blah... and yet, like the Foos, they're nominated just for making it imho.

Tedeschi Trucks Band in blues category is probably worth checking out.

I'm notorious out of my friends as liking "commercial" rock ?

Yep, definitely a few bands there that will get some play time from me!

I actually have Wilco and The Decemberists in my playlist.

Jack-Flash-Jr

+1 Decemberists.

I take back the Tedeschi Trucks, some really good songs but otherwise just ok.

I like Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks is an amazing player, but the vast majority of their music doesn't do it for me. ☹

Just bumping this back up

Jeee Trucks is inspirational. Has changed my views on slide completely ???

Yeah, did the same for me when I first discovered him 5 or 6 years ago. The whole approach of playing slide guitar in the style of a singing voice rather than within the limitations of a fretted instrument really got me. In the interview I saw, he said he tried to play slide as if he were a voice singing gospel music with all the rapid changes in intonation that implies.
