Looks like Satch finally got a rock and roll bassist (he headbangs - at last) to fit in with his rock and roll drummer ? Stu Hamm is great and all but boring to watch on stage ?

Now he just needs to get his rhythm guitarist to be a little more rock and roll and his shows will be a lot more entertaining.

(That's something Vai always got right - a good stage act with Billy Sheehan, Dave Weiner, etc)

Vai definitely has the best live show out of all the virtuoso's. Petrucci looks big and rocks out a bit but nothing too exciting, even Portnoy toned it down quite a bit when he was playing with Petrucci. When I watch Satch, I actually don't mind the others not doing much, I for some reason focus completely on him. He just seems soo into it.

Absolutely, he's really enjoying himself and you can see it! He has tons of stage presence all by himself! But it is nice to see his bassist rocking out instead of just bopping back and forward like Stu does ?
