One take. All guitar, all realtime, chose sounds and just played (for fear of getting bogged down, as per normal). Low sound is guitar synth, high sounds are processed piezo. You should be able to figure out which bits are normal guitar :D

Hi,

I made my first attempt at recording myself so sorry for the poor quality. My soundcard is not the best... :-[

I used the GFSA uploader to upload. http://gfsa.s3.amazonaws.com/382/Serenity_mixdown.ogg

Thanks, CDee
Rene did you really do that in one take?

Sure did ? It is a little meditation thing I whip up when I want to calm my soul - (or when I'm goofed out and can't play any thing complicated) - this is the hyper condensed version I usually carry on for about 20 minutes.

Martyr

goofed as in weed? ?

Martyr

hey stop sucking up to alan guys it's not cool

Rene don't vote for yourself and get Michelle to vote for you,not cool dude

? ? ? ?

Garth-S

Wow guys.. awesome entries ?

Wessel

Awesome entries.

@ Quinus - I like the metallica One influence. Has the same ring to it as the clean guitar piece , not saying it sounds the same.

Maybe it would be better if all entries are submited at the same time to avoid the recordings sounding the same by illimanating the possibillity of contestants being influenced by each other .

jakjak

very very nice guys. Only one days work left before i get a break and can spend sometime with my guitar.

But wow, i'm blown away, it seems the competition is lifting quickly. This is turning into a very interesting and healthy beast. Also, the pro's should never feel like they should give us a chance. When you guys show us whats possible it lifts everyone game, and that makes us better players.

If this forum is about anything, its about making cool music, and i'm starting to hear cool music. ?

Sean

I agree, nice stuff, considering the time restaints as well. I'd love to give it a go sometime.

PS for those who don't understand humour that was a joke

PPS Those who decide not to me - may your armpits be infested by the fleas of 10000 camels ☹
