In general I think that Gabby brings much more to the party than Rod does. He's the sizzle. She's the steak.
+1. Performance-wise anyway. I watch them to see her play and hear the outrageous things she does with the rhythms. He's good, but she's doing all the really interesting stuff for me. He comes across as a bit of a shredder, noodling over the top of all the great stuff she's doing. Kind of a "lite" version of Al di Meola...
true to a degree, but watch some of the behind the scenes, he instructs her what to play and do. But I do agree he is a bit of a noodler.
He was in a Mexican Metal band before he moved to Ireland and busked on the Streets with Gabby, that's where the shred comes from.
