I ordered one of these over the weekend on a whim.
Heard some demos and it seems to have a lot packed into a small package. I was contemplating a nova modulator but this has way more in a similiar sized footprint. I'm trying to stick to my smaller pedal board, so it looks like a good option.
From what I've read you can only use one effect at a time, but it is midi controllable, so I can run it off my Musicom + it has banks so you can setup 24 user defined presets.
From previous experience with the DL4 and POD XT, I know the effects aren't as good as say the Nova System, but I wont be using it all the time so I'm willing to live with the trade off.
Only thing I didn't check before ordering was the power requirement ... 500ma !!! I don't really want to run two power supplies but according to line 6 running DSP based effects on a daisy chain causes a lot of unwanted signal noise. I was gonna order either a CIOKS DC10 or a Pedal Power Digital, but the highest isolated ouput they supply is 400ma.
Has anyone else tried it out yet / opinions ?

Interesting. I would've thought that it was kind of pointless having 100 effects in one box and only be able to access one at a time. However, it makes sense in the context of only having space for one and it gives you a variety to choose from.
500ma is an "ouch" - but are you sure that's what it actually pulls (like the Novas are rated at 400ma, but only one or two of them ever go over 300ma and then only at powerup) and not just the adaptor rating? Might be best to check with L6 (although I know they punt the Voodoo Labs supplies exclusively) or their user forum. If it does pull 500 ma, you'll have to use either the stock supply or move to a GigRig supply and adaptor.

Voodoo labs have a demo of the Pedal Power Digital on their site. It can power a nova delay, Strymon Timeline, Eventide timefactor and the M5 at the same time. Loos like it'll work for my needs but I'll have to wait for it to come back into stock. Waiting for a local price on the DC-10 as well.
As for the single effect at a time limitation on the M5, I'll mainly be using it as a second delay and sometimes in conjunction with the Replica (1/4 + dotted 8th stuff) and for the reverbs. The rest are just nice to haves.
