CHOC and other foundations

Hey folks,

Funny things happen sometimes which make one sit back and reevaluate everything and how things are. Almost as if things happen purposely to force you to take a step back and think..

I've always been relatively nonchalant about certain things but with time going by, find myself needing to contribute somehow to the greater cause.. Whatever that may mean..

For those who don't know, the CHOC foundation is a voluntary organisation for kids with cancer and other blood disorders that I have decided to support however I can..
Sometimes just donating footballs and toys is enough..

There are many organizations out there that need help, I know Andy is doing the donate a guitar thing too which is awesome,

Any other organisations that need help, list em here please, maybe we can help, maybe we can't, but at the very least we can at least create the awareness for some of these places that need help.

I got involved in Child Cancer charities in 2008 with the story of Declan Du Toit , a lil lad who 10 days after birth ehibited signs of cancer and fought the good fight but eventually succumbed in Feb 2010. His mom fought every step of the way an bared her soul and it was a terrible ordeal ....i still get tears in my eyes when i recollect this..... heartbreaking.

Loads of kids at very young ages get cancer, its heartbreaking and i am so damn thankfull my kids are healthy...i am blessed, every day i realise this.

These guys do a lot to help the disabled and terminally ill, especially with kids and aids orphans in the south of JHB. Worth supporting as they do a lot of good.

These guys immensely impressed m family. They had been dealing with my mom (who had cancer) until recently, and they were always so professional, a great organization in every sense of the word.

I'm not an animal lover or anything. Just driving through Tembisa quite often on my way to a from work I see there are a lot of horses that need help badly. They are really sick and mistreated. Probably lots of other animals as well but the horses have left a little bit of a mark.
