. At this point, I can't really see that there's anything that needs changing. With my Highway One, the pickup swap and the saddle upgrades were good decisions that visibly improved those aspects of the guitar, but everything on this guitar looks, sounds and feels spot-on.
well thats the reason why one would buy a USA Fender American standard series or higher is that unless you want a radical change (as in humbuckers or P90's ) everything on these American standards is well, excuse the pun........... but all the componants are "UP to standard"
the tuners are good the pups are great the wiring and pots are all good , and the build quality and wood used and the finish is all up to par ...... .
so thats why many of us say thats the reason for buying the American standard series fenders is that yes you pay more than your top of the line MIM's (which alway get upgrades by their owners often within weeks of purchasing ) but you never need to upgrade the american standard or better ...series guitar in any way unless like i said you want a major change ....
it's a good instrument and a "keeper" right out of the box....thats why so few are found on the 2nd hand market people buy em and keep em
enjoy .....
