Ray I was scouting around for somewhere to take my wife just to soften her up so that I can buy another set of golf clubs and I came across this. It is at 8 PM on 7 Feb at St Mary's Cathedral. When I was a child my mother took me to these things sometimes. And I didnt fig it before but when you get in there and the organ starts up it is quite damned dramatic hey. If this is the cathedral that I was dragged off to then it isnt so lekker unless there is some decent parking availabel. If I remember correctly they had the odd recital in the old city hall as well. I know all the symphony used to be there and nowaday it's all at the Linder. Check it on Computicket. You can do worse things on a Tuesday night. ORGAN RECITAL give by Daniel Roth, the renowned organist at Saint-Sulpice (Paris), composer and pedagogue. The programme includes music by: C.M. Widor, A.P.F. Boely, J.S. Bach, Cesar Franck, Louis Vierne and Daniel Roth. I have no clue who this knaap is.
AlanRatcliffe I love organ - the only instrument that comes close to the power of an electric guitar. I don't know the player, but if he's the resident organist at Eglise Saint-Sulpice (which has one of the best organs in the world - I even have a Gigasampler sample bank of it), then he must be good.
singemonkey And please explain to those protesting outside that pedagogue doesn't mean what they think it means. ?
