Decemberists - one of those bands that in theory I should love, but sadly his voice completely turns me off

To be fair to Adele, It's the Media that are killing her music.

Everywhere I go, Shopping centres, Restaurants, in the car with others (Dont play the radio in my car ?), my daughters cell phone, Television, at the SABC (where I work), etc etc, all you hear is Adele

I must say she sounded alright for the first 7549 times.

Bon Hiver is faaaaar from "new".
The new Fleet Foxes makes me queasy but the kids still love the first album. The Decemberists are great but I find having to listening to an entire album at a time tires me after the first few listens unless it's called Physical Graffitti. Adele is this year's Duffy who was the year before's Joss Stone who was her year's Amy.
Haven't heard the Chick Corea, still working my through the collected works of Mingus ?

Have to agree, Adele isn't my cup of tea either. But I do think she's going to make a killing at the grammy's. She's even in the Guiness book, I've heard. And me being a harmonizer she's got some great material for that ?arty:

Actually - her first album was called 19, because she was 19 at the time, and it is a breakup album, with pretty much all the songs about her failed relationship at the time.

Her second album is called 21, because she was 21 at the time, and it is a breakup album, with pretty much all the songs about her failed relationship at the time.

but she is one of the few female pop artists who are successful due to sheer talent, rather than a marketed image, and i respect her for that.

I had no idea there were that many categories, if a guy says "I have a Grammy" it could just be because he has a nice box set. After the main categories the show must go on for 3 days with all that.

I think Steve Job-less is receiving an honorary Grammy as well: "Best stealer of other peoples ideas and turning them into mega-trendy fashion statements"
