Interesting. Wonder how this compares to the current Polytune, and if it'd track as well as the Turbo Tuner..

Yeah I saw that. The one thing it offers over the Polytune is the big display, which has always been the Pitchblack's advantage. Not too sure about the vertical string orientation though - might be a little more difficult to figure out which string is which than a horizontal orientation.

Like the Polytune, the polyphonic tuning is not really of any advantage if you like altered tunings (but you can still tune altered tunings in single string mode).

TC has also brought out a new version of the Polytune - the Polytune Mini in a much smaller package:

If you visualise it, it lines up with your strings more logically. Maybe I'm weird...

Line up more logically yes, but our eyes scan horizontally better than they do vertically and pattern recognition is better on the horizontal plane. On the horizontal, the low E can only be on the left, while vertically it could be top or bottom. Not a huge problem, we learn to adapt to these things pretty quickly, but could still be momentarily confusing.

The Polytune has a software update that adds Drop D, as well as Capo options. Just did the update on mine last night. Not sure how often I'll use the added features, but still pretty cool!!

That remains to be seen, but the LEDs look to be the same size - just closer together. The guys with cramped pedalboards will love it for sure.
