Greetings fellow forumites!

I am contemplating of selling my Classic 30 to get A MESA Transatlantic T15.
Played through it the other day and was really impressed with the sounds and the tonal properties of the amp.

Ok so I am a big MESA fan and seriously thinks it is a great brand and amp, but the other models are just very expensive and just too loud for my applicatiopn at the moment.

The T15 is also expensive but a lot more versatile when it comes to sound levels and the type of sound you can get out of it, at relatively low volumes.

Bsed on the fact we all have our preferences and styles etc, but what is your opinion on the topic above?

Do you think it is worhtwhile spending that much on a MESA?
My ears told me that is worht the while, I just would like to get more views on this one?

Some purchases are made from the heart , if you want the mesa, and its affordable without the kids going hungry kind of thing then do it....

if you going to make the decisions with the head well its a tougher battle cos the peavy is awesome too .... ?
Me I quite like what I hear coming out off the Transatlantic.... seems quite a bit more versatile.

I would probably get the Mesa if I had to choose without owning either.

Haha, luckily there aren't any kids yet... But I think they might start populating the household by the end of next year. Got some time on my hands it seems!
Yeah, the heart is always easier ?

But as you correctly stated the classic 30 is a great amp as well.

Yeah I was very impressed with the sounds of the T15. But unfortunately I have a classic, no choice at the moment! haha

Will have to sell the peavey though!

So I will probably put it up on the forum in due time!
But I still need to save some GAS for the T15, so maybe give the prospective buyer a 3 month heads up!
Quite a flexible amp - I liked one of the three rhythm voices and one of the three lead voices. However, like most modern Mesas, there were no real "wow" tones in it for me. At the same time we plugged a little Marshall Class 5 into the same 2 x 12 cab and it was wonderful - not my kind of tone, but a good one.
Thanks guys, all valid comments thusfar and also very condusive!

              Anyone else?
I still love my Peavey! Will try to hang to it always! ?
