So this is my first attempt at recording something Jazzy. There's some unwanted distortion in there and stuff so please ignore the quality of the recording.

Hey Norrie,

Some very nice chord voicings in there. It would be nice to hear more than 36 seconds of that ?
Another interesting idea would be to take this progression as the backing track and put a solo over it.

Thanks ? I LOVED the chords part of it. That's what I wanna spend some time working on: my chord vocabulary because, damn, there's some pretty stuff out there!

I basically played a chord inversion on the bottom 3 strings (in A), then went to Amaj7 starting from the high-e (kinda like a c-shape), then a barre-shape Amaj7, then to good ole A major on the 5th fret.

Here's my challenge, I like how it sounds but what other chords can I throw in there? Or, better put, where can I take this thing? It has very little direction right now ☹

Apart from the clipping it Sounds pretty nice. ?
Smooth tone but I'd brighten it up a tad bit though, just give it a little more presence.

Thanks Dean ? Playing straight through my LightSnake cable sucks. The pickups sound COMPLETELY different but I was too lazy to hook up my DS-1 this time. I think that would've fixed the lack-of-brightness.

I really dig this clip so I'll probably work on it until I have a semi-song thing going so I seriously appreciate the tips! Tks!

one thing i have found with the light snake is , it doesn't like pedals at all , specially gain driven pedals , i had to put a DI box between the pedal on the snake to get it to work properly

I have the opposite problem. Without my DS-1 in the loop, my lightsnake doesn't sound right. The pickups don't have their usual sound and it's all a tad bassy. As soon as I run it through the DS-1 (but still playing clean), it sounds normal again.

Alan said something about the snake being hi-impedence and the pedal being lo-impedence or something ?

hmm I'll be honest, this is the first time I heard the name light snake lol but I knew what it was.

The DS-1 might take away the low end a bit (while adding a little top end)
I'd say maybe just some Post EQ should do the job ? maybe 1-3db high shelf EQ at 8-10kHz should add some "shine".
