Hi guys. I'm struggling with a problem on this program, I'm sure it's a simple thing, and I'm possibly going to feel stupid for asking. I'm trying to beef up an old song (or rather the backtrack), just modernize it a bit. I've converted it to WAV, and I manage to get it posted on the playlist on FL Studio. When I play it however, it plays the first bar of music, then starts from the beginning, while carrying on with the second bar, then on the third bar starts again wit the first bar... It doesn't start over, it compounds it. At bar 20 you have a pretty catchy rave tune going. Can anybody help me with this?

Just another question. If I want to add an intrument through an interface, is it possible to record it straight into FL, or should one export it and add it as a seperate track in a recording program like Reaper?

I absolutely love FL studio. one can do such amazing things with it.

Just a few questions to help me understand your issue;

Have you added an audio clip as an instrument, then added the clip into that?
Then, are you playing the clip in the main playlist as the song, not the pattern?

Remember not to select any of the buttons on the actual pattern you have the audio clip linked to. Then it would start again every bar. If you have selected one, then deselect it, then add the clip into your song editor.
so if it looks like this;

Then that is your problem.

It would play through looking like this;

Note, I have selected "song" as my playback choice, not pattern.

Hi Donovan,

It doesn't matter if song or pattern is selected...I added a WAV backtrack into the playlist. However my playlist doesn't look anything like yours. I have small little blocks (might be using an older version). When I go to the pattern view I can see the song there (as per your example)

? I recorded my first own composition last night. Although I did some shoddy electric work, and the vocals need some reverb (which I'll get done tonight) I'm very happy with FL's input
