Multiple Powersupply

i'm looking to get a multiple power supply like the Dunlop DC Brick...

anyone got any ideas? i wanna try get one locally,i don't think the DC Brick is available locally,i really don't wanna have to import it....

It is available locally - MIDI/Toms are the importers - fu**ing expensive though - like R 1600.00 or something the last time I looked.

About a year ago the DC Brick was a R1000, but think it might have gone up.

Yeah Igor from Marching Dead uses one and it's really convenient. It's one of those "you get what you pay for" things.
I use batteries (Uniross 9v rechargeable) though because it's cleaner. Too many times have I had electrical problems causing hum and earth problems because of a venue's power plugs.

Although I think the DC brick does do a bit of cleaning.

ok cool thanks....i'm gonna look into it...i don't think my local music store stocks either the brick or that gator case(PE stores are shit)

i don't need it right away,i only need it when i get into a band and wanna start gigging,but PE is ummm yeah,need to find someone i can play with that is actually good

@Dean - have the batteries every failed you during a gig?because i was thinking about doing that but i'm scared they cut out during a gig or something(not that i'm gigging yet)

Not once ?
Actually the only time they didn't work was when I forgot to recharge them the night before. But I like to charge them for a few days as they last longer. I started using the 2 rechargables in my guitar now but I think one 9v in EMG's last for 3000 hours.

I haven't heard of batteries cutting out though?

I dropped power adapters two years ago and won't go back ?

Pedals chew a bit more power though, I can't say exactly how long but the longest I've had a pedal running for was 4-5 days. (Then recharge for two days and repeat ?)
Just remove the jack from the pedals input when it's not in use because it draws power regardless of the pedal being switched on or off.

so you don't have to remove the batteries? or would it be safer to remove 'em? how much are rechargeable 9Vs?

Nah, as long as the input jack has been removed the battery isn't in use so it's fine to leave it in the pedal.
Just some pedals (Like my Maxon) require you to unscrew the bottom plate to access the 9v battery clip.

They are pretty expensive so I thought I'd get a rechargeable set which is expensive but saves you money in the long run Instead of buying disposable 9v's every time you run flat. Also it's assuring to know that your batteries have been charging overnight and feels goo to put in "fresh" batteries ?
The two rechargeable 9v's I bought last week were 60 bucks each.

You wont regret it seeing that they're made with slightly better parts than the Ibanez Tube Screamers.

I'd suggest the OD808 or Od820 if you don't mind paying a little extra.

i'm looking at either the OD9 or the OD808..i can get the OD9 for $150 off tonefactor and the OD808 is $135 also on tonefacter

what are the benefits of the OD808 over the OD9?

I can't actually tell you the difference between the two as I've never tried the OD9.

It works similarly due the design being similar (as all tube screamers) but I dunno as to how far or what it's limits are. But if there is a difference it should be very little.
The 808 is just a trusted pedal that's why more artist are found using that instead. ?
The 808 is cheaper by a few dollars too ?
