Putting this sort of thing together is quite difficult, maybe next time we need to book longer in advance and bump the crap out of it!

Actually took a camera, forgot to take pics with it.
Useful i know, but thats life.
Next time round we'll see if we can get better attendance and a place not as hard to find maybe manno, even the gps got lost.
As for the faders, some of them had pressing issues i believe.

I think Joe was trying to trick us, it was so difficult to get to even he got lost ?

I kid you not, Frans and I passed each other 3 times looking for that place.. That place was tricky to find at best

Should've just asked wheres the local, problem is though i doubt youd find any regulars, imagine trying to leave there after a few. You'll never find your way out!!

ja must be a metal thing, causing interference with the gps.
Think most of us drove down george ave until we saw the place, also then driving way past rosie's place... And the rest is history.

Wasn't meaning to sound negative, the band was in actual fact superb, the bassist, drummer, guitarist were all great, sound was good. Didn't expect them to play covers.. The style of music wouldn't be my 1st choice though. Lots of pop,don't get me wrong, very tastefully done, wouldve enjoyed some rocknroll though. Mind you, rocknroll doesn't necessarily put people on the dancefloor so totally understandable why they play what they do.

That was one of the main reasons why I suggested that venue in the first place. Unlike a place like the Cornerhouse in Fourways that has a much 'roffer' crowd attending. When I go to the Cornerhouse , I move around as close to the walls as possible , in case I bump the wrong oke or chick or 'it' ....... ☹

BTW . That drummer ( Mark Rausch) actually lives in East London and flies up for every weekend to do that and other gigs and some studio work with Mark and other pro musos.

Only thing to consider next time we have a get-together, if there is a live band playing it becomes impossible to have a conversation due to the noise .. maybe its just me but I'd rather chat with the peeps and get to know them than listen to the band, not taking anything away from them off course...

Hey ICM ja , I'm sorry I missed the impromptu jam at the Cornerhouse , when Denholm Harding ( Bass player wizard for Just Jinger / Flies + many others) joined Arno and Leon a few weeks ago for a coupla tunes ☹

Dudes, I reckon we need to find out when the Flies are doing a gig again and build a Pta/Jhb get-together around that. Those guys totally rock my socks. I understand they gig fairly often but mostly corporate functions and stuff. I'll see if I can find out from them when they'll be doing their Tanz Cafe format show again. For those who haven't seen them, it's well worth seeing. And those who have seen them will agree it's well worth seeing again.
