This was a huge misconception partly due to the fact that she was a photographer.

What?! She was the daughter of George Eastman who invented the Box Brownie and launched Kodak to multinational status. Or have I gone insane ???

It's damn sad to all of us who loved one or more of its products. They knew the changes were coming way in advance and did everything they could to future-proof themselves.

Well, even if at some point they can no longer operate, at least small companies will carry on producing the film that I cannot live without: Tri-X.

In fact her Dad was an Epstein, but changed the name to Eastman. Quite ironic as well if you consider Brian. I bet John had a great laugh at the time

As a result of this thread i have done a whole lot of digging on the subject even buying a biograhpy called FAB (macca) .excellent excellent book by the way.

Now the interesting thing is that the rumour of the eastman/kodak connection may in fact have been started by Linda in her earlier days to raise her profile , the story of her being linked to kodak was even printed in the Times sometime in 1968 as well prior to her wedding to paul. and by all accounts Linda seems to have gotten around quite a bit before her macca days....
