Would you swap?

Ok so I'm trying to sell my Jackson KVX10. I found a guy who is willing to swap his guitar for mine. Conditions put aside I would like to know if anyone would recommend this guitar (I play more rhythm than lead ?), and if this swap is a good option:

u can play rythem perfectly well with a jackson .....

but that Cort is sweet .....and with a nice case may be a nice deal.

just make sure it all checks out

@IceCreamMan I have found that I can play rhythm on the Jackson. There are however two things which I find difficult with it. When not standing in a power stance ? the guitars' neck seems heavy so it leans left which places strain on my wrist over time. It also makes it more difficult to run up and down the neck. In a power stance however its epic! The second thing is that sitting and playing with the guitar is also not very comfortable.

@MikeM I also feel that my guitar might be worth more. Thing is selling guitars like mine is not that easy. I would prefer keeping mine because its just that awesome. When you whip that thing out everyone's heads turn ? but because of the impracticality for which I want to use it for, it has been spending its time in a case for over a year! and that to me is a sin.

I phoned Paul Bothner and they told me that their current floor price on the Cort Source is R4995.00. So with the case coming with it, the swap should be quite even. It all depends on the condition seeing that I have not seen the Cort yet.

Anyone have some tips as to what specifically I should check out when I go and test the guitar?

There's a recent thread here on the forum about 'the one that got away'. This guitar seems like it would fit the description a few years from now.

I would go with the hollow body cause your second option definitely doesn't rank close to the V you're looking to trade, realistically the hollowbody & case deal is more on par from a pricing perspective. I'm a bit biased though, I don't like pointy metal guitars :-[

Ja I am also not convinced about the cort les paul. The hollowbody I will have to play first. I would really like a Fender strat or tele. I found an old broken SX Tele in my one cupboard so have taken that apart and I'm sanding that down, re-doing the electronics so maybe that will suffice, then I can keep my Jackson ?

Eish, I did not see the first swop was a hollow body. Cheap hollow bodies suck!! Hollow bodies already have a tendency to go out of tune easily, cheap ones even more so. Then there is feedback, its a completely different sound, never mind rhythm guitar. If you want a hollow body, yes, if you are looking for a playable guitar to replace the Jackson, nooo!!!
