I have a lp custom and a fender sa jag that was my grandfathers its a 1966 model but it has humbuckers as well, I'm more interested in setting up the valve amp like setting wise what can I do to get a warmer fuller overdriven sound out of it

hmmm someone must have put the humbuckers on later....... as they are not stock with a 66.
you can get smooth overdriven tones out of a jag, just depends what amp and the volume, gain, etc.....
Ac15s are a nice combo with jags I think
