My Larrivee Jumbo is well used (I bought it that way) and a terrific instrument but its original Tusq nut had some wear on the G string resulting in a buzz.
I always used to space that string with a piece of paper from a string's sleeve to lift it clear somewhat and it has always bothered me.
With yesterday's string change I decided to make a new nut from cow bone that has been with me for 3 or 4 years now.
Couldn't find my camera to take a pic or two, but it came out just fine, and the guitar sounds great.
