And I don't know why. I have been exercising and keeping my mind busy.
So I don't know what to do. Even tried those herbal pills.
Sorry to hear about your predicament. Just to clarify, is it a problem staying asleep, or getting to sleep?
I have found that wearing one of those eyemasks (like you get on airliners) helps block out all incoming light and helps me get to sleep faster and stay asleep longer. If there is the slightest bit of ambient noise as well, some light foam earplugs have helped me in the past as well.
There's the other obvious considerations of inadvertent stimulant intake which you may want to look at - from the obvious coffee/tea to other supplements or medicines which you may not be aware have caffeine or other stimulants in them, or which have side-effects of sleep disturbance.
There is something called Melatonin, which is not herbal but can be taken as a supplement. Melatonin is actually a hormone which already occurs in your body. Melatonin plays a part in your sleep/wake cycle and sometimes you may experience an imbalance or deficiency. A Melatonin supplement could help you regain a more consistent sleep cycle.
I would suggest that the Melatonin is something you could look into. It is a naturally occurring substance which you would simply be supplementing and would satisfy your apparent and totally understandable prefererence for more natural solutions over pharmaceuticals. First speak to a doctor or pharmacist to ensure this is even the direction you should look in, of course.
I really hope you find a solution.
Cheers
