I've got an M-Audio Fast Track Pro and REAPER, what now?!?!

So now that I have it, I'm a little bit out of my depth. I thought I'd figure it out easily, and I'm slowly making progress, but I really could do with some help to fast track my learning. So... there wouldn't be anyone perhaps who are in the Randburg area, familiar with REAPER and M-Audio audio interfaces and willing to give me a quick Home Recording 101? I'll reward you with beer and even a tjop on the braai if you feel like it.

sounds like your place is a better bet deefstes - mine is maybe a little more cramped, it can probably handle a max of 6 and, being upstairs, it does tend to get somewhat warm as the day progresses. my setup is relatively portable - i'll bring it along just in case. what instruments does we needs? or are we hijackings yours preeeeeecioussssses for the day?

and yes, having reviewed your lead up to this spot, i noticed your 'next week saturday'. nicely played - i should've known better than to tangle with you.

i like the curriculum - nice, sensible flow and manageable.

i was thinking a 'quickstart' guide might also be a good idea, if we can get enough info together. we shall see, we shall see...

Living in the bush has its benefits but not being able to attend this sort of get together is not one of them!

well, like i said, i'd like to do a bit of a summary of the day's learnings - bit of a quick-start guide, if you will. so while you may not get to hang, if we actually get our asses into gear, you may well end up learning almost as much as we do. with a little luck and magick.
