Hi all! ?
I've decided to take the family on a coastal road trip.
leaving PTA on the 1st of Jan towards Durban, making a stop by a friend and a gig on the 3rd.
after that its pretty open, gonna take the coastal route until capetown.
we will be back mid jan.
I'll be looking for a couple of gigs along the way and once in CT, another few to help pay for the travel
and of course get new work on the coast line as almost all my work in recent years have been inland.
Should you have any ideas for gigs, suggestion etc pls post em?
I wont be full of crap re payment as I am not known there and
dont expect to be paid top dollar until i prove myself.
ill be taking a minimal backline - guitar and fx, mixer, mic and a pair of powered tops, enough for a fair sized bar,
or small enough for a quiet restaurant.
any info would be greatly appreciated!
perhaps even a joint gig with someone?!?!
Merry xmas, happy new year and all that! ?
Sheron.

Hi there bud, maybe check out Tony's Place in PE.
Dan Patlansky plays there every now and again. Walmer Gardens is also a pretty cool venue.
I'll try and get some numbers for you later.

Get hold of Quay 4 in Knysna. I did a gig there with Leon in June with Leon and the response was amazing. Their budget is between 2-3k for the night. Google them, get holf of them. I can't remember the contact person's name though. Tell them you were referred by the Leon Shaw Syndicate, maybe that would help. Also try get hold of the people at a place called 2 Dogs in Knysna. It's a young-ish couple that run the place. Very nice people, got horribly hammered with them. They also take bands, dont know what their budget is though. Good luck.
