Fine guitars indeed... the company knows this too...they are so secretive about their methodology that they won't release any info or even wiring diagrams to anyone without proof of purchase, serial numbers and a pint of blood from the original owner. I am sitting with the various parts of aSilhouette, with no clue as to the original active wiring.... It's an HSS system with Dimarzio Hummer on the bridge and 2 S coils at middle and neck positions... There is a strange internal pot... which looks like a capacitor or roesistor with addjustable output.... So, I freely admit I am stumped....does ANYONE out there have ANY idea about the EB Music Man Silhouette wiring? Any help would be welcomed....e-mail me at guitars@copperline.co.za... Thanks

Your "pot" seems to be top left ... although following the wires may prove to be a challenge.

HSS is the Silhouette special.

Master volume, master tone. 5-way pickup switching via a Oak Grigsby four pole, five way. Your can-type effort is the silent circuit (Ernie Ball's version of the Suhr BPSSC), not active electronics. Trimpot is to adjust for the best noise cancelling operation.

Pickup switching:
Pos 1 - Humbucker series wired
Pos 2 - Bridge coil of humbucker and middle pup in parallel
Pos 3 - Neck coil of humbucker and neck pup in parallel
Pos 4 - Middle & neck pickups in parallel
P0s 5 - Neck pickup and silent circuit in series

Should be relatively simple to work it from there (if not, dare I suggest that maybe you aren't the man for the job). If you want the exact wiring diagram, Speak to Graeme at Bothner's workshop. As the distributor's tech he might have it or be able to get it.
