Stolen Equipment - Alistair Coakley

Alistair Coakley's house in Bryanston, Johannesburg, was burgled on the evening of December 20th (Tuesday). The miscreants (nicest word I can think of at the moment) made off with the following equipment:

1963 Fender Telecaster with G&B benders
Butterscotch finish, black pickguard, rosewood fretboard, serial # 94016
Body contour routing on the back (not done by Al, I promise!)
Gold spaghetti Fender logo
Mini Seymour Duncan JB Humbucker in the bridge position (with micro-switch)
Hipshot G and B Bender
Drop D lever

Damn.. That's relatively nearby.. Will keep an eye out.
You should prob notify all the cash crusaders and converters in the area and ask them to circulate among their stores. Report it to the cops too so it is quick if they show up in store. Wonder if these miscreants know what they stole? Good luck man

Pretty unique instruments - if they show up, they will be spotted.

Did the thieves target the guitars (i.e. obviously knowing what they were) or did they grab them in amongst a bunch of normal household gear? If they targeted the guitars, it would be wise to let the bigger vintage dealers globally know about them too.

Hi Alan and Guido,

They grabbed household goods as well (TV, DVD player, Hi-fi, etc.), so these goons probably don't have any clue what they've got their hands on. Alistair's contacting the various pawn shops at the moment as well as the locals that buy secondhand guitars.
