Highway-Chile That time of the year again...... I get to climb on the roof and hang the lights, run the power distribution etc. Seems like just yesterday I put them all away. What a day!!! The house looks nice though. I am happy about that. Christmas, my favorite time of year. My wife does the tree and the kids help. I used to but now that the girls are able to help her, I stay outside and do the exterior. Wifey does super work on the tree.
Jack-Flash-Jr ? When I was living in Brooklyn we'd do a nightly neighbourhood tour... saw some AMAZING houses... I must compliment you on your restraint and good taste. Some horrors are forever emblazoned on my memory, in a nice Xmas kinda way of course ?

Brooklyn NY... but I stayed in Brooklyn PTA for a while too and the Jacarandas are the BIG SHOW... missed the purple carpet...
Highway-Chile That one caught me also. I thought it meant NY but then I was like.....wait a minute so I Googled Brooklyn PTA and saw such a place existed. While I was thinking about it and looking at images..... I remembered the jacaranda's. I was going to post on how awesome they are and that I miss seeing that. I did my military training at Waterkloof AFB and the AF Gym......very close by. Had some very good times there. We used to go over the wire when I was in basics and cruise into Pretoria or Joeys to party. I had a long hair wig and we'd put on civvies and hitch.....the MP's would drive by and we'd keep hitching ( just kakking they would bust us) .....get back in at some unearthly hour, back over the wire, catch a couple hours kip and then up early for the next day's afkak parade. But yeah....we are on the same page about those trees.........messy though when they start dropping......the sound they make when you drive over them......man, I miss home sometimes in a big way.
