Where to find a truss rod socket wrench?

Hi guys. Got a Jackson Kelly JS30 that needs a truss rod adjustment but awesomely it needs the socket style wrench instead of an allen key (sarcasm), example - http://www.wdmusic.com/truss_rod_wrench_1_4_in_socket.html, but neither Music Mate or Marhsall Music stock any and I didn't receive one when I bought the guitar, entry level model being the reason probably. Does anyone know where I can source one locally or have one I could borrow for a few days to get the guitar set up? There are tons on Ebay and online but thought I would run it through forums awesome knowledge database before I went that route before I go international route and have to wait for postage and possibly pay more in postage than the item is worth etc

Try your local auto parts store or tool store and ask them for a "nut driver" in the appropriate size. Maybe take the guitar with you to test fit the driver.

Thanks for the tip. I do have tons of those at home but the issue it seems when you go to hardware stores and auto parts shops/the nut drivers bought from those shops, the arms are often too long for my use (they are long since they are made to get to small and hard to reach places on cars etc) i.e.

The 3rd one being the ones made specifically for truss rods. I saw a player online who McGuyver'd himself one with just one of the attachments and an allen key, might be something to think about. I might just need to give a hard look at my nearest hardware store, maybe they just might have one that I can luck out with.

P.S. If anyone has one that they can lend me, I'm still keen ?

What I was thinking of is the screwdriver style of nut driver with a thinwall socket that is forged as part of the tool. You don't really need a right angle lever on the driver as the torque that you can apply with the screwdriver type is more than adequate. Tou can always get one with a hex section near the nandle that you can slip a 10mm ring spanner on for more leverage for those stubborn nuts.

Where are you? I've got three or four different sizes - Rics, some older Ibanez and other vintage guitars also use them, but not necessarily the same Imperial 5/16" that Gibson uses.

Ah okay. Thinwall socket definitely sounds like what I'm looking for but there is also the issue of the truss rod bolt cavity being recessed and there being no natural curve into the recession i.e. like the drawing i made - you can't go straight at it. I will give a good look at my local hardware store though over the weekend.
