Rocker-Gramps
Thought I'd share, If I may.
Went to see this guy play the other night. They're a 3-piece , Bass, drums, Lead/rhythm,
and they are Pretoria based. Maybe some of you have come accross him (?)
He's a very big guy with very long hair, and his name is Johan Meiring, he plays lead/rythm. I've seen hundreds of bands
and guitarists in my time, but nothing ever came close to this! I cannot believe that he still has not been scooped up by some people in the know!
It's like, you know he doesn't belong here, among the mediocre, (it seems, after hearing him)! (He's a world class player in every sense of the word). He
plays a Heritage (Gibby look-alike), and his amp is also Heritage, (fully tubed). What a pleasure it was to hear somebody of this stature play!! From what
I've been told, he has quite a large following,(not surprising) If you frequent the Pretoria rock scene, or even if you don't, look him up, it is a guitar-
experience you will not easily forget! That is a promise! ?
