i always find it funny that a company would go out of their way to make the valve visible and still put a small bulb behind the valve, to make it look like its on.

technically if a 12ax7 lights up like that, it would be for the split second when it explodes.
i just feel they are giving the new generation a wrong impression of valves.

i wonder when will the t-87 be coming out ?

Yeah I agree 100%. EHX, funnily enough (or not, depending on your impression of them), is another naughty manufacturer. In both my Black finger compressor and LPB 2ube there are bulbs to make sure that you know that the tubes are on. :-\

That is really irritating, I am unfortunately the owner of such trickery... I have a Ibanez Tube King OD with an 12AX7 and..... a RED led behind the valvle, you can actually see the LED popping off when plugging it out. I actually have considered opening it and try to remove the damn thing...

I have to say it's an awesome sounding pedal for my application though ?
