A friend of mine has just launched (kinda at my request) this service for hosting images:

You can upload your large images there and then just link to them from the forum.

Any suggestions for where we can host MP3s?

Er, this may not be the best place to ask...but I just tried 1) uploading and 2) linking to a .gif as my profile pic, and neither worked. Any hints, please?

The file you use as an avatar must be a certain resolution and must be below a certain size, not sure what those are, but yeah. Make it smaller and it should work.

IIRC, it needs to be 100 X 100 pixels and probably 96 DPI.
