What's on your Christmas wishlist?

deefstes

I think I've bombarded my wife with enough hints that I'd love a M Audio Fast Track Pro audio interface for Christmas. Not sure that's going to happen but we'll see.

So what is it that you're secretly hoping you might discover in your stockings on Christmas morning? I'm specifically curious about the "realistic" wishlists. I mean, very few of us would hold out any realistic hope of Santa dropping us a vintage '59 LP ?

This year, nothing GAS related as I have everything (bar a chorus pedal) that I need/ want.

Plus 4 weeks ago I ran a bearing in a vintage racing engine, so that has to be sorted first.

Averatu

Not that I 'do' christmas, but I would like to collect my V in Cape Town before then.

Squonk

Not much.

A travel Guitar (baby Taylor) , but most likely next year, hopefully the SABC rewards me with huge amounts of money for being there for 25 years.

High Spec Nylon one of those top of the Range Takamine's

70's Fender Strat with big headstock
A decent Tube amp for the Strat

I have nothing on my Xmas list.....actually, no Xmas list at all ......

Squonk, I was thinking the other day to take the BB Taylor with when we go on holiday. Will give me a bit of time honing some acoustic skills, and at the same time, get Eli up to scratch as well ...... you must get one

I don't like the idea of friends engaging in mutual self-bankrupting over Xmas, so I gave the wife a list of CDs that I want or that look interesting and told her, if anybody asks then let them buy one of those. That's not going to break too many banks.

She had plans to get me the Waterson family DVD, which I ended up ordering from Amazon and which arrived yesterday and it seemed so silly because I knew what I was going to get and she knew that I knew so we just watched it anyway ???

But this is directly linked to picking up guitar bargains in January...........lol.

Nothing for me this year...
But time spent with a best friend, 2 cousins, and 2 amazing ladies at the Anantara Sathorn in Bangkok.
Nothing better than spending time with friends and family.. Thats my wish :yup:

racman

My list is as folows:

1. That at least one of the "UK Lottery Winner" SPAM e-mails proves to be legitimate (of course unlikely if I don't buy a ticket ?)
2. More Talent than Friends - I only actually have two so it shouldn't be too difficult ...should it? ?
3. The total elimination and destruction of all "keyboards" from any live music applications. In fact just destroy all keyboards and ban them from production ...period!!! >☹
4. A implementation of a maximum size per seat rule on aircraft!
5. Justice for all, rather than INjustice for all...

Ok, I'm having a bad day so I'll stop now before I offend anyone .... ☹ ☹ ☹ ?

Seventhson

To spend time with a special girl :-[

/runs ?

But really I don't really want anything(that I can afford ?)

Malkav

I just want to make it through December alive ?

That being said though, my birthday is in February and because of the way Dimarzio work their ordering/production it would appear that my new 8 string pickups will be landing here that month. So my Christmas/Birthday present is going to be finally having passives in one of my favourite guitars :-[

If your wife e-mails me she may be able to get an only used once, still in plastic and box second hand M-Audio Fast Track Pro. ?

Nope Ibanez RG2228, I just hate active pickups.

EDIT: Carvin only released 8 strings about a month ago but to be honest price wise and spec wise they actually do look better than the Ibanez ones. Had they been a bit earlier to the game then I'm sure I probably would have gone with one of them rather. The RG2228 has a dollar price of $1999 and the Carvin, which has your choice of custom options of course (which I would have loved cause black is a boring colour), has a base price of $1300...

Fish-Eagle

That custom, ok very custom paint job for my guitar...

Otherwise I have everything I could wish for ?

Ray

I asked my wife for American Deluxe telecaster and she said well she wants to get me something more personal and really special. So, I guess it's a few pairs of socks and crusties again.
