There are some people whom I feel just should never have been celebrities, they don't deserve it. Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton and Justin Bieber all fall into this category. I don't believe they've done anything extraordinary through which they deserved their celebrity status. Their claim to fame is based on an appeal to a mass hunger for all things shallow. Sure, plenty of people love them, but I don't. I will not make excuses for it, I don't like them and I would have loved to see a world more obsessed with the exceptional than with the shallow.
TBH I'd not lump His Bieberness in the same category as Kim K & Paris Hiton. He's had to make an effort, he's worked much harder than the other two, didn't start from their position of privilege and he's not nearly in their camp of crassness.
Isn't this fun! First I get caught wearing crocs, now here I am testifying for Justin Bieber. There goes whatever smidgen of street cred I might have retained.
