hey everyone
thought i'd chip in with some thoughts. i'm just thinking, if entries are submitted for a challenge that clearly do not fit the decided theme and parameters of that challenge, then why
have a theme (and parameters) for each challenge? we might as well all just play
whatever we like,
however we like? and be damned the person(s) who thought long and hard on coming up with a theme for that month's challenge that would be interesting and stimulating.
something else, on the subject of heavy metal:
heavy metal is certainly not only about:
stu wrote
a heavy guitar grinding riff about hate and anger.
some of my favourite metal songs deal with the topics of friendship and brotherhood, of human rights & freedom, speaking out against injustice & inequality, the futility/tragedy of armed conflict, and many other poignant topics in our world today, and in our past. some of these songs have passages that are so majestic and evocative that they bring a lump to your throat.
and, people who listen to heavy metal, are certainly not the only human beings on the planet who experience anger.
