sharonzaz So I have been asked by some ppl to upload a demo of this iPhone software I have been talking about. I have made one, one I am no so Happy with, but nontheless it is done. I will try my best to make another one (perhaps in the new year) with better vid/audio quality. Enjoy, Sheron PS, this is not meant to demo my playing, but rather to give an idea of the software's ability.
FruitarGeek Very cool video. I can see a lot of people viewing it. By the way, I noticed your guitar had (what I assume to be customised) 2 inputs and XLR. Mind explaining that to me, never seen that on a guitar before
sharonzaz The connections on the left are the (Home made) iRig input and output. the ones on the right is the PL guitar output and RJ45 plug for the Variax.
shaundtsl Very cool! I am also getting into the iRig stuff and loving it. I really think the whole idea has alot of potential!
Wizard Ok ... so I have now received my "little black box" from Sharon. By the way - if you ever want something sent reliably, then Sharon is your man. I've never known anyone to be so eager and helpful in shipping anything ... ever. Even to the extent of contacting the courier company to find out why it hasn't been delivered. ? The box is small and neat. Has an input jack for the guitar; and a full-sized stereo output jack to be used for stereo headphones; or as input to an amplifier. Also has the small jack to plug into your headphone jack of your iPod / iPhone / iPad? / ... The mono cable for amp can either be pushed halfway into the stereo output jack; or you can get a stereo to mono splitter. I bought AmpKit and in a moment of GAS madness got every amp & pedal simulator they have on offer. Total spend on software is about 500 ZA ront so far. Not a lot at all. Assuming you already have the iPod. Have spent a short while playing with it so far, but it is FUN !! What's so useful about this is it gives you the chance to find out what the various pedals actually do ... instead of the hard & expensive way. (refer to my recent experiences with a CS-3) I have discovered I really like the TubeScreamer !! (called the Elevenizer. Haven't figured out the wordplay on this one yet) So far, so good !!! Am looking forward to trying it out on the iPad that Father Christmas will give me if I've been good. ?
ezietsman Wizard wrote I have discovered I really like the TubeScreamer !! (called the Elevenizer. Haven't figured out the wordplay on this one yet) That's why ?
dee The eleven reference: = On a more serious note, I might look into these as well. One of the main reasons I got an iPad was for Amplitube, to replace my laptop + Guitar Rig. I just need some type of input first.
sharonzaz Had this just made - variax 300 with replacement neck and PRS pickups, also another iRig built in for a complete mobile setup. will post some more pics and vid soon
