but here is what I did
first I got the neck stuck on properly as it was loose at the joints

I cut the 'nut' from a piece I bought at a local music store
it is not really a nut like on most guitars as this one actually has a fret there and the 'nut' is only to keep the stings from shifting
then I had to get a tailpiece , but it seems like you dont get this stuff loose in SA
so here is what I did
when down to the local hardware store got a hinge then I took a tremblock so that I could get the sting spacing right
and married the two

here I was still trial fitting
next step , the movable bridge

again bought the white material from a local music store and made the base
as you can see on this guitar the bridge is quite high as compared to other archtops
but the action is perfect
I also did a complete refret, after that I fitted a humbucker pickup
and made a cover for the tailpiece
