I got 2 chapters into one of David Ike's books, at which point the fruit cake was just plain overpowering.

Well there's a growing body of .. err... "pro rational" reading around these days. Some of it quite hilarious by virtue of what is laid bare.

You might look at Francis Wheen's "How Mumbo-Jumbo Conquered The World" (be sure to read it to the very, very end), Damian Thompson's (no relation) "Counter-Knowledge" or even Derren Brown's "Tricks Of The Mind" (yes... the guy who does the "mind reading" etc on TV, him).

Lord-Fraquart

??? Some real fruitcakes amongst us. ?

Chariots of the God's (?) as well, the claims of evidence are 'I went there and saw it', but no one can verify! In 'A Demon Haunted World', Carl Sagan tels of even wilder claims during the 50s and early 60s

The chapter 'The Dragon in my garage' from 'The Demon Haunted World' is the ultimate trump card to counter just about all mumbo jumbo. Classic. Sagan is a true geek hero.

aja

GaryMac wrote Maybe Julius Malema is one of THEM!!!!!!!!

That would explain his interest in farming.... Soon we will find crop circles and probed animals

singemonkey

+1 on The Demon Haunted World. Ironically, it's a magical book ? Carl Sagan left us too soon.
