Today is the first day I've had to myself for a couple of weeks, so I'm enjoying it.
- I'm currently trying to arrange a solo guitar version of Walking on the Moon on Strat to accompany a vocalist with bassline, guitar and percussion parts. I find the Police stuff is difficult to pull off because of the relative sparseness of each part (and Copeland being a very different drummer doesn't help). Two delays help a lot. ?
@alan.......... thre's a french duo ...... calledd "scotch et sofa" who do an amazing version of walking on the moon ...........just with 9 string guitar /bass hybrid....... vocals and the guitarist "beat box's" amazing ......... but unfortunately it's off you tube at moment ......... if you near jhb let me know cos i did down load it from you tube and it's awesome ..and done live so no trickery no loops or backtracks just the two of them ....... if you not into their stuff get into them cos they so inspiring if you interested in solo guitar performances
