Sean EttieneB wrote Hey just putting feeler4s out for any other boxers on the forum? Anyone? So do you want to keep playing guitar proficiently until a ripe old age? ? I know the hands are strapped up, padded, etc. but it still seems pretty risky ???
MikeM I took care of them, but messed up my right hand in a motorbike accident. When boxing a bit more seriously I just spent 10 minutes max on the heavy bag a day. Actually found it really good for my technique as well as I started basing my sessions around the double ended bag. Makes your trigger much quicker and doesn't let you get as sloppy as the heavy bag.
Gearhead Never mind the hands, have you ever heard an older boxer speak? Those okes sure suffer a lot of brain damage eh...

Yip they def do!!!............I guess the point of it all is to hit someone and not get hit.........but if u do this on pro level ods are that u will go down! The fitness and focus u get off training is insane though!!

Agreed that 10 minutes is all u need! Still a hell of a workout!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
MikeM I used to train 2 hours a day, 4-5 days a week. So inevitably, without realising, I was overworking the heavy bag. Wasn't fun taking wraps off to brownish knuckles and fingers.

Did u wanna go pro? Im taking it slow so only twice a week these next two months..........trying to fit in time between that and the guitar wich always keep me from not training!!
MikeM Nope. Didn't even plan to fight. I just loved the training. It was like going to gym, but fun. Was trained by some oldish cruiserweight that once fought for a world championship or something like that. He told me that if I was at least a little fit, I shouldn't "ease" into it, as the more you train, the faster your body will adjust. How long have you been boxing?
EttieneB Not long....about four years just training but then i stopped! I found a new club about two months ogo! so fitness wise its getting there but i still suck....big time! But the tech is still good!! Im just gonna take it slow......maybe by next year ill get a fight! But im not bothered to grade...i just love sparring........now thats fitness!!!
BluJu I'm a very bad boxer if that counts. More of the grappling type but I'm hoping to get my boxing skills up in the near future. My goal next year is to compete in an amateur (mma) fight. So since we on the topic. Who thought that Marquez got robbed?
