Jack-Flash-Jr I pulled a Jimmy Page with a friend's violin bow at a grunge gig once upon a time... I thought it sounded pretty good and didn't need to shred the bow. I also used to do bends with my tele's neck at the same period. Anyone heard of or used unusual playing techniques for actual sounds or even just visual effect?
Squonk Gilbert's Electric drill was pretty awesome stuff, he would also shout into the Pickup and get quite a hectic sound. I am still trying to find that particular Mr Big concert that aired on the SABC long years ago. I think it started with them doing the intro to VH "Aint talking about love" and then they all stopped and said "NOT..." and proceeded with their own song. Some hectic parts with Billy and Paul doing some hectic tapping together. Preston Reed plays the Acoustic in an unorthodx style as well.
singemonkey The guys from Sonic Youth used to play with drum sticks - and play with drum sticks stuck through the strings.
