The sad thing with this whole thread is that no one has had anything good to say, or has come to the defence of some of the local sound guys, which just shows how dire the situation actually is, it doesn't seem to be 50/50 with us few complainers having one too many bad live sound experiences.
Neil at ROAR in Observatory in Cape Town is a great sound engineer, I know that when he's behind a desk I don't have to worry, professional attitude, good ears and more than willing to help you get the right on stage sound to pull off a confident gig.
