So I have A ESP M-2 with emgs and I have tried every trick I know to stop this annoying feedback that builds every time I stop playing its like it's a very "live" guitar. It's tuned to dropped C and it seems to com from my F string I use 11s. And when I stop playing if I just move the guitar it starts to feedback. I send my pickups back to emg and got new ones I've tried damping the springs. None of my other emg M2s do this. I've had the wiring professionally checked. Any ideas would be awesome I'll try them all I love this guitar but with high gain it's killing me. And yes I have my gain set normal. Like 12 to 1 o'clock on my triple rec. so what can I do. Or is this just a very sensitive guitar. BTW my pickups are set a tad lowr than normal to try to help it. It don't work. Lol. Help.

so when you stop playing, while your hands are muting the strings, the feedback rings?

When you say feeding back, do you mean something that sounds like a harmonic that starts to ring, then slowly builds to a scream?
My RGA32 has the IBZ-LZ actives, and it also tends to feed back a little, but that's only if I'm not muting the strings, and I'm on high gain.

Kevrock. Post a pic of your ESP.
It probably won't help but we do like to perv ?

Feedback at that kind of gain setting doesn't sound too impossible to me, I suppose the other factor is what volume level you're running your amp at? You may want to look into getting a noise gate if you find that even regular amounts of feedback are too overbearing.

What kind of POTS do you have? 250 or 500K?

Actives shouldn't use 250 or 500 pots.. Should be 25k if memory serves..
