louwd123 Hi All, Just thought I'd like to hear if any of you ever came across one of these old guitars. It seems, from what I could find out, if this model was built in the early 60's by Kawai Teisco. The only picture I could find of this guitar was of one without a neck on guitarhunter.blogspot.com. It seems to have been played immensely but kept in good shape. I just cleaned everything up and set it up for the old guy who asked if I could give it a bit of an overhaul. In the end it actually plays very nice. Small little thing as you can see from the pictures where my little 3 year old is sitting with it on her lap, but otherwise it really is a nice and very playable guitar.
louwd123 Hehe, yea, i think it might need some more than that, meaning the fretboard as well, but the old man likes it like it is so all it took was some elbow grease to get it in a shiny order. I'm not into restoration or anything of that sort, did it for free for the "oom".
