Makin' my own cables

Hey everybody, money's tight and I need new cables. I'm looking at the yebo electronics pages and I'm confused by all the options. Would this work? Would it be of a normal guitar cable diameter with regards to conductors, shielding, insulation etc?

Hi,
if you are in Jhb, and are looking for a cheaper cable - try ZakSpeed in Woodmead about 50 mtrs from Marshall Music (also on the web, so it's possible that they will ship) . You can get the cable and plugs from them and make up your own leads, or get a 'ready-made' lead.

I popped in there to buy a length of quality microphone cable (planned to make up a lead, already had the plugs), and ended up buying that, plus a couple of 3 mtr leads with moulded plugs, those were a lot cheaper than making them up - anyway I can't hear the difference between the 'quality' cable and the cheap ones. Probably the more expensive ones will last longer, but that is the main difference. IMHO the 'oxygen free' cable and 'gold plated' plugs are marketing gimmicks.

I have no affiliation with them, also some of their prices can be beaten by shopping elsewhere, but they are close to Marshall Music, so I saved on petrol ?
