I am thinking of getting the Behringer AC108 Tube amp , anyone have or tried one , what you guys and gals think .....

I'm no Behringer-basher (I own and happy with a few of their products), but the words "Behringer" and "tube" do not go together. I have never heard a Behringer tube item that sounds even remotely decent - they tend to stick valves in more for marketing and looks than tone. They like undervolting tubes (cheap way to get a valve to distort) and then put lights behind them to make them look like they are glowing. >☹

Yeah Behringer tend to copy other companies down to the manuals. Mainly Mackie, Roland and Genelec. They'll just change the design slightly.

Behringer have been sued by Mackie I believe but nothing has happened. (AFAIK)

Actually Dean, the Behringer FCB1010 predates the Roland, and has more features, flexibility and pedals.

On most other counts of out-and-out copying other people's products, they are guilty as sin though - particularly Mackie mixers.

there mixers may be copys , but the few i have worked with and owned really get the job done

@ Alan: Aah, I never actually checked that out. I guess due to my disliking for Behringer, the poor assumption was made ?

@ Tailon: Yeah I own a Behringer mixer, but I actually just use it for it's multitrack purposes and just use direct outs. when I used the sub groups I started noticing a 'leak' from one channel to another!
And I'd start hearing the click track on everything, Incl. DI tracks Which as you know is pretty impossible, unless your pickups are high output.

the behringer BTR-2000 rack tuner is an exact copy of the Korg DTR-2000 rack tuner(i think the behringer has a metronome and the korg doesn't) but the price difference is behringer $60 korg $260!!

i wanna get the behringer one and get a boss AB-2 2 way switch so i don't have it in my chain because i've read it really screws with your tone...it'l cost like R1000 max instead of R2600+

I have a Behringer V-Amp pro that is a rip off of the line6 pod pro. It works well and I only paid R2000 for it including FCB 1010 pedals.
